1 weeks worth of fun!

First of all In-n-Out finally opened so my friend and I decided that we were going to go on the first day. It was a dumb idea, We loaded up all of our kids and waited in the drive thru line for 45 minutes to get a hamburger. We pretty much laughed at ourselves the whole time. It tasted good though and we are part of the cool In-n-Out club now RIGHT? You uppity California and Nevada people know what I mean.
Stu had to do some training for his job up north and so we went with him last Wed. I swear we make that drive every other week, but I love seeing everyone.
My family and Stu's family threw Braden ANOTHER birthday party. (He was pretty spoiled) We went to dinner with Stu's cousins from Sacramento, shopped at Ikea, had a few game nights and watched a lot of NBA playoffs (ugh). Overall we had a good time and just got back on Sunday! Here's some pics from the week of fun.

Our baseball obsessed boys! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the baseball stuff!

P.S. I don't think I've mentioned yet that Josslyn walks around everywhere. She is still pretty small and she looks like she shouldn't be walking. It's funny! Also, if anyone has tips on how to do baby girls hair I am open for suggestions. As you can see she is a bit of a mess.

7th Birthday

It's hard for me to believe that I am old enough to have a 7 year old, but it's true. It's sad when your kids birthday's start making you feel old too...Like my birthday isn't enough!

We spent the weekend celebrating Brade's birthday. He had a biking birthday party with his friends and cousins. It was an obstacle course for bikes. (Stu painted the street and over saw the whole party...I was sooooo glad to have him around to keep the kids entertained.) Also, our neighbor was a SUPER big help. I am so grateful to be surrounded by awesome people!

On a lighter note...

COLD POOL...LET'S DO IT TOGETHER!

So now that my vent fest is over, I want to focus on the more positive side of my life.
One of my favorite things in the world are visitors! This week is spring break for some of Stu's side of the family and they decided to come down to the warm weather. We are lucky that we live here and get to be part of all of their fun. Thanks for including us guys!

LOSING MY MIND

This Post is for venting purposes...so skip it if you want.
Yesterday I LOST it...I know that this never happens to any of you but sometimes I just get crazy and end up on the phone with Stu bawling my eyes out. 4 kids is hard, and keeps me busy,but they weren't even the problem. I don't even know how to express what I am really feeling. I feel just like Joss looks in this picture;
exposed, cold, mad, a bit sad maybe!
I have had many experiences the last couple of years regarding money where people haven't been true to their word. (Yesterday being one of them.) It's amazing the lack of integrity I have seen. I hope to have my mind changed, but as for now I am convinced that there are more dishonest than honest in the world. Sad! If you have any words of wisdom for me than please share. I hate feeling like the only person that these kind of things happen to.

PRIVATE

Okay...So I have recently heard by quite a few of my friends and family that they are going to make their blogs private or that they are going to take their names off of their blogs etc... Should I be doing this?
I know that I've seen this question on a few other blogs, and everyone is probably sick of it.
I have had one random person comment on our blog and it made me a little nervous, but not because the comment was scary or anything. I sort of feel like making the blog private kind of defeats the purpose. I don't know. What do you think?

Relationship Tag

I haven't ever been officially tagged, but here it goes. (Thanks Adrienne;)

Where did you go on your first date? It was a large group date to Cafe Rio, and then Stu and his friends set up a movie in the park. It would have been funner if Stu would have talked to me, sat by me or even rode in the car with me. I had fun with his friends, but I thought for sure he must have been disgusted by me based on the way he was acting. I remember really being smitten by his smile... I still am. It was the first time that I was sad that there probably wouldn't be a 2nd date.
How long have you been together? We have been married 8 years and two months and we only had dated/ been engaged 8 months soooo. Time flies!
Who eats more? NO QUESTION IT'S ME! Stu says I have two really long hollow legs. I love food so what?
Who said I love your first? Me again. I actually said "I'm head over heels." I know it's stupid and corny and I can't believe I just put that in here. Stu says it more now though.
Who is taller? Stu is barely taller than me...Just kidding Stu. Stu's 5'11" and I'm 5'7"

Who sings better? Me again! Let's just say Stu's nickname is "monotone man"!

Who does the laundry? I do. It NEVER ENDS! I don't iron and unfortunately neither does Stu so, he gets made fun of sometimes for having wrinkley clothes and it drives my mother insane.

Who pays the bills? That's a trick question right? Stu makes the money and I spend it. So I guess we both pay the bills. I am the one who literally writes the checks.

Who mows the lawn? Yeah finally one for Stu! He just got a new lawn mower and he is super proud of how green and pretty our lawn is.

Who cooks dinner? I do...sometimes. If I'm too lazy (which is a lot lately) then Stu will try to chef something up. His repertoire consists of breakfast foods and cup of noodles, which is okay because he makes the worlds BEST PANCAKES with buttermilk syrup. YUM!

Who drives when you are together? We both agree that it seems weird to have the woman driving with the man in the passenger seat. Must be that old school men and women roles mentality, so Stu drives when were together.

Who is more stubborn? Me Me ME! Stu is rarely stubborn, lucky for me!

Whose parents do you see the most? Mine. We love you Mom Squires though!

Who kissed who first? Stu has his side of the story, but he kissed me first in the foothills of Alpine by the Karmengia. Yes I almost fainted, but mostly because I was shocked. Stu still thinks he has magical kissing powers.

Who proposed? Stu asked me to marry him many times that he doesn't recall, but he finally did officially on my 20th birthday. I was really sick, so it wasn't super romantic, but really memorable for me! I loved it!

Who is more sensitive? um....one word "Therapist". Yeah, I would say Stu is definetly more sensitive. Maybe he doesn't want me to say that. Sorry hun!

Who has more friends? Stu. He knows everyone!

Who has more siblings? Stu again, He has 3 brothers and 6 sisters. YIKES.

Who wears the pants in the family? Do we really have to answer this? ME OF COURSE!

I tag Natalie J., Debbie J., and Monica I.

Conference Weekend

Isn't conference weekend the best? My brother BJ and his cute wife Katie came to spend the weekend with us. We had a good time eating, shopping playing games, we also had some great late night discussions about the gospel, but definetly the highlight of the weekend was watching and reflecting on genereal conference.

I always look forward to hearing from the Prophet and General Authorities. It always surprises me how much I can learn and apply to my life. I guess our Father in Heaven knows our needs, and apparently he knew mine this time. I was touched by many talks, but I was especially uplifted by Elder Ballards talk on mothers.
If you didn't get a chance to hear it here is the link http://www.lds.org/conference/sessions/display/0,5239,49-1-851,00.html
I am grateful to again be reminded what is MOST important in this life. I watch how fast my children are growing and I logically tell myself that I need to enjoy every tiny joy filled moment, and even the not so joyful moments. Why is it that I am so easily distracted? Conference has given me a new resolve to try harder.

Taco Guy

Last night we went to Del Taco for "Taco Tuesday"! We like to go on Tuesday's because we can get sooo many tacos for pretty inexpensive. Well this morning Mitchell came to me and with a proud attitude announced,

"Mom, when I grow up to be a man than I will be a worker and I will be a taco guy, so then I can give you lots of free tacos!"

I told him I would love that!
