Happy 50th MOM!

Today is my mom's 50th Birthday. I can't believe she is that old. I love her sooooo much. She was traveling on her actual birthday (her favorite thing to do) and so we decided to throw her a surprise birthday party on the 4th of August. It was fun! We hired a chef to come and do a cooking demonstration and to make us dinner. It was unique and pretty interesting. You have to be pretty confident to cook in front of others and trust me this lady was confident. After a great dinner each of my brothers and sisters, and my Grandma and Grandpa did presentations of great things our mom has done for us. It was funny and great to have a reason to remember all the goodness I've learned from my mothers example. We love you mom. Here are some pics from her party!

The 25th and 26th

Soooo Stu had to work on the 24th of July of course. He did however have the 25th off so we decided to have some family time. We did some chores as a family, and then we had some fun. We decided to get some lunch and explore parts of southern Utah that we have never explored. We found a secluded little resevoir and ate lunch and threw rocks. Then we went to visit the Mountain Meadow Massacre site. It was interesting to read about it and see the actual location where that happened. The kids were good sports and had a good time. The next day we went with our neighbors to warm springs NV. It's a church owned recreation site that has warm spring pools. What a blast. It was literally a oasis in the desert.

Fun weekend.

Family Reunion 1 was full of Fun!

The Forsyth Family reunion was a blast this last weekend! Thanks to Stu's brother Scott for the planning. We went to Raging waters, watched movies outside and had a 70's/80's dance. I was loving Camden doing his rocking moves. The highlight for me was seeing Stu in his tight pants stretching everyone for the big dance. It was fun to catch up with the Forsyth's and getting to know some that I hadn't known yet. I somehow don't have any pictures, but I am planning on finding some to post. I gotta find pictures of Stu in those pants. HA HA!
This obviously isn't Stu but one of our favorite cousins Dusty sporting his fabulous 70's costume for the dance!

NO TIME

I have a load of things to blog, but I HAVE NO TIME!! I owe myself an update but here is my excuse, I am working more this summer than I have in a long time, somehow I am in charge of a family reunion in August, we just finished helping and attending a wedding, and we are headed to a different family reunion this weekend, and 3 more coming. I feel like we have paid our dues when it comes to gas consumption. All this added to the norm of chasing and cleaning up after 4 cute little MONSTERS, maintaining a weed infested yard, and being in the nursery at church! I am feeling spread a little thin and all I can think of is that school starts again in a little over a month. WHAT?!?! My goal is to just try and enjoy what's left of this crazy summer cause it'll be over soon.
