It's a lot of work to do anything with small children, but Stu decided to take us to the north rim of the Grand Canyon for Labor day. It was SPECTACULAR! We were practically the only people there with kids, so we provided plenty of entertainment for all the oldies. My cute brother Justin and his cute wife Sarah came and spent the whole weekend with us. GOOD TIMES! We weren't really prepared for the 57 degree weather, but we weren't too cold in our shorts and flip flops. My kids were really good sports and we really enjoyed each o
ther.

I have been there also but I had hiked from the south rim that same day! You look like you were enjoying it a lot more than I was at that point! It was a while ago I was 14! What a fun weekend!
so fun! Family trips are the best, it is ALOT of work though! You are brave to take them there! What an awesome family you guys have!
I wish that I had the energy to do things like that. It looks like you all are having a good time. (The window thing is pretty cool.)
WOW... you had a much more exciting holiday then my family- what fun! You are all troopers for dealin' with the cold! It's really easy to become acclimated to our warm weather huh?! I bet it was beautiful scenery though. Looking forward to hookin' up next week! :)

Wow, that looks amazing. I have to say, I have been a lot of places but never the grand canyon, what a fun time for you. Funny that you were the only ones with kids, I bet the old timers just loved watching them. Cute pics.
BTW- you're crazy to be on that ledge like that, makes me nervous just looking at the pic.

I remember from a family trip to the G.C. about 15 years ago, there was a ledge with another ledge just 10 feet below it (like two big stairs steps) and my brother Spencer jumped off the high one, and landed on the lower one. He totally tricked my mom, who thought he had plunged to his death. We still laugh about it.
What a fun trip! All the years in Vegas and we never made it to the G.C. I'm glad you made the trip. It is so beautiful!
