The Ten Leprechauns

Any indication that my parenting efforts are working on my kids feels great! Even if it is a little skewed. I have been dilligently trying to teach scripture stories to the kids, and this morning we read and then we were talking about keeping our bodies clean and healthy. My 5 year old Mitchell says " Oh yeah like the 10 leprechauns." I said, "What about leprechauns?" and he said, "You know...when the 10 leprechauns aren't feeling very good and so they come to Jesus to be healed and he tells the little guys to go clean themselves and then only 1 good leprechaun comes back to tell Jesus thank you!" I immediately started to laugh, and said "that's mostly right hun, but it's 10 lepers not leprechauns" and Mitch says "oh yeah, right, lepers!" Even with the mistake I was proud.
Leprechauns seem more interesting though right???

There should be leprechauns. It would make the scriptures a little more interesting don't you think. Magical creatures running about. Isn't that what the world thinks of our religion anyway? haha

Oh if the scriptures were about leprechauns I would probably be more diligent in my reading... maybe!
And Yup, if I did have a real purse I would still carry all of my redneck items in it! You just never know when you will need to call in an elk, or when it might rain and you gotta bust out the ole rain poncho! Gosh I am a freakin hick!

You've got to love those kids! You just can't help it. I am so glad you are writing down those funny stories. They will live on and on and bring many smiles in the years to come. Good job, Danielle!
